Bockingford

Stockwell Bockingford 400gsm

The largest sheet of paper we sell.

Bockingford® is a beautiful English watercolour paper, traditionally made on a cylinder mould machine at St Cuthberts Mill. Situated in the ancient Cathedral City of Wells in the southwest of England, St Cuthberts Mill has been making paper since the 1700's, taking advantage of the pure waters of the River Axe.

This is a high quality paper made using pure materials to archival standards.
The surface is created using natural woollen felts giving it a distinctive random texture. One side is cold press (NOT) and the reverse is rough. Appreciated for its excellent colour lifting abilities. An extremely forgiving watercolour paper valued by professional and amateur artists around the world.
