We offer a full programme of City & Guilds bookbinding courses at our rural workshop in Wiltshire. For those who can't attend in person some courses are also taught online via Zoom. All classes are limited to a maximum of 8 students to ensure optimum personal attention and our tutors are renowned experts in their respective fields.

Location
The Daffodil Barn is a delightful thatched barn in Woodborough, Wiltshire, a small village in the beautiful region of Pewsey Vale near the Marlborough Downs. Woodborough Yard includes several independent businesses and shops including two adjacent cafes, and plenty of free parking. Entrance to the workshop is at the rear of the building.
Arriving by train: the nearest station is Pewsey (3 miles).

Accommodation
Take the opportunity to combine a course with a stay in the lovely Wiltshire countryside. For those with transport there are plenty of places to stay in the surrounding towns and villages.
Arriving by Car : The nearest hotels to the Daffodil Barn are in Devizes (8 Miles) and Marlborough (9 Miles).
Both towns are very pleasant places to stay and are an easy drive to The Daffodil Barn. Closer to Woodborough, there are numerous Guest Houses, Country Pubs and Hotels.
By Foot : Cocklebury Farm, Hazelbank B&B, The Whitehouse B&B are all within walking distance to the barn.

We share The Daffodil Barn and the course timetable with charity Bound by Veterans (BBV) which teaches craft bookbinding to assist in the rehabilitation of military personnel who have been, or are facing medical discharge early from the Armed Forces due to their wounds, injuries, or sickness. Bookbinding has proven to be therapeutic in assisting well-being and confidence as well as helping veterans to develop employment opportunities.

Bookbinding Courses
Courses are divided into three levels:
Level 1 Beginners' Courses - two five-day units equivalent to a Level 1 City & Guilds Award
Level 2 Intermediate Courses - three courses for students with Level 1 experience in bookbinding wanting to progress their skills, equivalent to a Level 2 City & Guilds Certificate
Level 3 Advanced Courses - specialist classes for those wishing to widen their bookbinding skills to the highest level leading to a Level 3 City & Guilds Diploma.
